COMMUNITY. COMPASSION. COMMON GROUND.
My father, Andrew Varley, served this area as a Republican legislator from 1967 to 1979 under Governor Robert Ray. My Dad led with respect for his colleagues and constituents regardless of political party, a principle ingrained in me from a young age. I am committed to carrying on my father's example of listening to others and serving the greater good.
HEALTHCARE ACCESS & LOWERING COSTS
Warren Varley will help you keep your family healthy by working across the aisle to improve access to health care in rural areas, reduce health care costs, and increase availability of services for mental health and opioid-addiction treatment.
STRENGTHEN OUR SCHOOLS
Our children and public schools are at the center of our communities and the pride of Iowa. Warren Varley will strengthen our community schools with improved investments, opposing vouchers and elevating the hard work and value of our educators.
GROWING LOCAL BUSINESS
As a small business owner with a long history of experience in local economic growth, Warren Varley is committed to bringing prosperity to local business owners through economic development that addresses their needs, not by lining the pockets of big donors and lobbyists.
Elect a local farmer to give all farmers a seat at the table. Warren Varley is a row crop and livestock farmer in Adair and Guthrie Counties. Farmers need to be included on key topics like trade, supply chain margins, and water quality.
Warren Varley is a sportsman, gun owner and supports the 2nd amendment. He will not support legislation to take guns away from law abiding citizens.
Warren Varley stands with Senator Chuck Grassley's position, a position Jake Chapman is against:
“I’m calling on law-abiding gun owners to lead the charge in the effort to keep dangerous individuals from purchasing guns and to expand access to mental health resources,”
Chuck Grassley, Aug. 2019, Sweet Freedom Celebration & Gun Shoot Event
Warren Varley believes reproductive health decisions should be made by a woman and her family, not legislators.
